Innovations Stakeholders Meetings

Innovations Stakeholders Meetings are held periodically and focus on topics related to the North Carolina Innovations Waiver program.

All are welcome. The information exchanged is primarily intended for:

  • Innovations Waiver participants
  • Family members and caregivers of Innovations Waiver participants
  • Advocates
  • Service providers

Attendees will receive information and provide feedback regarding:

  • Innovations Waiver services implementation, including Employer of Record
  • Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) policy and use
  • Resource allocation policy and use

We value your privacy and adhere to confidentiality regulations. Case-specific information will not be discussed during the meeting, and will be referred to the appropriate contact.

Acumen Fiscal Agent is now an enrolled provider of financial support services for the Employer of Record model through Vaya Health. If you are interested in more information about Acumen, please plan to attend one of two events in October at Vaya Health offices.

At the information sessions, Acumen will provide stakeholders with an overview of Acumen’s role in family-directed services. The events will also include discussions about steps for using Acumen. Additionally, Acumen will provide training on how to use its electronic time entry system to manage employees. Acumen can begin enrolling Employers of Record who are new to family-directed services immediately. For individuals who wish to transition from their current financial support service to Acumen, enrollment will begin Jan. 1, 2019.
