More about this webinar:

Direct Support Professionals (DSP) support people every day to make informed decisions. How will people spend their time? With whom will they spend their time? How do they want to dress? How do they want to decorate their personal space? What and when do they want to eat?

This webinar will review how Direct Support Professionals, and others, can best assist people they support in making informed choices and decisions. The HCBS Community Rule and person-centered practices demand that we all help people with choice. This webinar will discuss supported decision making, informed decision making and being person-centered as a direct support professional. John Raffaele from NADSP will share insights and information about the importance of always presuming that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve the most possible level of control over their destiny and self-determination.

Presenter Information:
John Raffaele, Director of Educational Services, National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP)
Desiree Loucks Baer, Assistant Executive Director, National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP)

We continue to build a shared vision throughout our state and partner with each other to make a difference.
