In this role, Vaya will coordinate a regional network of healthcare providers, behavioral health specialists, and community-based organizations to improve access to care and strengthen the overall health system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis investment marks a transformative step forward for rural health across North Carolina. Through the NC ROOTS Hub, we have a unique opportunity to strengthen collaboration among providers, community organizations, and support services to better meet people where they are,\u201d said Tracy Hayes, Area Director and Chief Executive Officer for Vaya Health. \u201cThe impact will extend beyond improved access to care to support healthier, more resilient communities throughout the state.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the next five years, Vaya will support rural communities across Region 3 by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improving behavioral health and substance use services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancing care coordination across regions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leveraging digital tools to improve outcomes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expanding access to primary care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthening health care through workforce development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The statewide initiative led by NCDHHS will support more than 400 rural health facilities by improving health outcomes, supporting sustainable access to care, and advancing healthcare delivery to rural communities. Additionally, the program is expected to bring hundreds of millions of dollars in federal investment to North Carolina over the next five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor the communities we serve, this program means more coordinated care, more resources, and more support where it\u2019s needed most.
