Crisis Prevention: Keeping Your Cool Under Pressure

“If you can predict it, you can avoid it!”  Though avoidance is not always possible, planning for how to prevent and/or manage a crisis can be of benefit both to the caregiver and individual experiencing a crisis.  This course is designed to increase one’s skill level in working with individuals who experience an increase in behavioral challenge. Focus is placed on causation and de-escalation techniques.

Free Hosted by the Yadkin County Public Library in partnership with the Vaya Health Geriatric & Adult Mental Health Specialty Team. All Vaya Health trainings are free and accredited through the NC Division of Health Service Regulation who awards 1 contact hour for each hour of training.
