Film Screening & Panel Discussion

We are in the midst of the worst drug crisis America has ever seen. For the first time in history, more than 100,000 people died from drug overdoses, and North Carolinians accounted for nearly 3,000 of those deaths, a 26% increase from the previous year. More people than ever need help.
Addiction Professionals of North Carolina is presenting virtual film screenings and panel discussions for Tipping the Pain Scale. The goal is to create meaningful conversation that will drive the field forward. We want to include as many people as possible to learn about current policies and where the field is moving.
The event is free to the public and will be completely virtual for attendees. You will watch the video on your own via a password protected webpage. That webpage will have the link for a live stream of the panel discussion.
Though the event is online, each event held across North Carolina will have different panelists to discuss issues pertinent to each specific community. The event in Boone, North Carolina will be held in partnership with Appalachian State University on Thursday, February 24.
