Mental Health First Aid Watauga County

Learn the skills you need to help a person who is struggling with a mental health or substance use concern. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches participants to help individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis, or those developing a mental health or substance use problem, using a five-step action plan. Participants also learn about local behavioral health resources. The Mental Health First Aid training encourages individuals to get treatment when needed and helps decrease the stigma surrounding mental illness by openly talking about mental health in our local communities.
