Celebración de la Vida - Condado de Caldwell

Celebration of Life is a free event for individuals who are 60 years or older. The day begins with a health fair involving various businesses and area non-profit agencies setting up booths to provide information, services and materials. Those who attend have a chance to be exposed to helpful resources they might not otherwise know about. The information gathered could include anything from where to get needed medical equipment, how to get in-home help through an agency, how to apply for Medicaid, where to get assistance with food or utilities or even where they can go to work on their physical fitness. Time and again, participants have mentioned how helpful the health fair is. Late morning, attendees are treated to entertainment provided by local musicians. There is also an opportunity to win door prizes donated by local businesses. To ensure no one leaves empty-handed, each attendee receives a flowering plant to say thank you for the ways they have contributed to Caldwell County over the years. Following this, a hot lunch is served to all attendees by our hard-working volunteers.
