Why vaccines matter
Your health and wellness matter. Vaccines are important to protect you and others from getting and spreading preventable diseases. They help keep you well and reduce the severity of your symptoms if you do get sick. There are recommended vaccines related to age, health, pregnancy, job, lifestyle, and travel.
Your primary care provider can help determine which vaccines you need and where to get them. Attending annual wellness visits keeps you on track with the recommended routine vaccines that protect you and keep you healthy. Adults and children should receive yearly vaccines, such as the influenza (flu) and COVID-19 immunizations.
