Education & Training

Understanding your diagnosis helps you take better care of yourself. The more people know about behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities, the better they can help others.

Our trainings and education courses are designed to meet individual needs. They prepare participants to use their new knowledge on the job, at home, at school and other places. Classes take place throughout our region and focus on a variety of topics.

Crisis Intervention Team training is designed for law enforcement and first responders, while Peer Support Specialist training teaches people in recovery to share their own experiences to help others. We also offer community education courses that are open to the general public.

Select a class that interests you or visit our Calendar of Events to find upcoming opportunities in your area.

Community Training Requests

You can request training for Mental Health First Aid and Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) by filling out our Community Training Intake Form and emailing it to training@vayahealth.com. We ask that all requests are made at least six weeks before your desired start date.
