Friends of Residents (FOR) in Long-Term Care Fall Virtual Gala

FOR continues to advocate for quality long term care across our state facilities at a time of great change. This includes family/group homes, adult care homes, assisted living, nursing, and memory care facilities. They’ve been advocating vigorously at both the legislative level and locally for resident rights, improved funding for personal needs allowances and greater state-level oversight of operators as the trend toward “corporate ownership” moves quickly across North Carolina.
This year’s Virtual Fall Gala will feature remarks from Lori O. Smetanka, J.D., Executive Director of National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care during our event! They will also recognize several award winners and capture the work Friends of Residents in Long-Term Care has done throughout the year. The event will be held virtually from 7- 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
