Overdose Awareness Day & Candlelight Vigil 2023 – Buncombe County

With International Overdose Awareness Day coming up soon, SeekHealing is hosting this Overdose Awareness Day and Candlelight Vigil in partnership with WNCAP, Sunrise, RHA< 12 Baskets, and Haywood St Congregation. It will take place on August 31 from 4-7 p.m. at Carrier Park Pavilion.
This free community event will include a facilitated authentic
relating practice, a grief ceremony, sharing of stories, a
candlelight vigil, and a reading of the names of the people who
are no longer with us.
Those who attend are encouraged to bring
a small memento to temporarily add to a remembrance altar,
and an open heart and mind.
